Ammo and health can be picked up by standing near enough and pointing towards it with a controller (and pressing a button, obviously).

No magazines on your person to slot in or even graspable charging handles. Reload is tied to a single button on your gun hand, which was my first disappointment. That said, don't expect dual-wielded shotguns to work all that well when you still need to pump both of them manually (or do what I did and abuse the reload’s auto-pump). You can hold one weapon in each hand, even if it's typically two handed. In my experience, using the over-the-shoulder slots can be a bit buggy. You have two pistol holsters and a flashlight on your torso (or waist depending on the options), two grenade holsters on your waist, and two weapon slots located over each of your shoulders. The mechanic is mainly there to prevent just kiting forever, but it's not that hard once you get used to it. Short jumps drain very little while clearing an entire room's length will drain most of the bar. There is a kind of recharging "stamina" bar that dictates how far you can leap at once. Move by aiming the usual teleport circle with one of the controllers. Controls are fairly standard compared to most VR games. Don't get me wrong, I want to support TW for venturing into unexplored territory and trying something new, but the shooting in KF:I is nowhere near as fun as KF2's visceral gunplay (which, to be fair, is setting the bar a little high in the first place).

I went into KF:I expecting a lot of similarities to KF2, and boy did that leave me disappointed. Controls are basic and serve their purpose, but aren’t terribly immersive. Not a lot of horror when you can blow away everything or chop 'em up, but it does have its moments. Tl dr The game is short and its arena mode gets repetitive quickly, but it's ultimately a fun experience, especially in co-op.

Copy/pasted from three months ago, though I believe the game hasn’t received updates or whatnot, so it should still stand:
